The
Five Lands are on the East Liguria.
They are five villages situated
on spurs scottered on little inlets.
The attractive kind of coast with cliffs falling sheer to the sea, which
alternates bays and wonderful beaches among the rocks, constitutes
a true masterpiece of Nature.
Since 1997 they have been declared patrimony of mankind by UNESCO.

MONTEROSSO
is the airiest and best equipped village with
its beaches,
its hotels and restaurants, its craftman’s workshops and its
wine shops.
Here Eugenio Montale ( Nobel Prize for literature ) uset to rest,
you can still see his house.

WHAT
TO VISIT:

The Capuccini Father’s church, from where you can
have a wanderful sight of the village and of all the
promontories whichi nclude the five lands.

The Sanctuary of Soviore which you can reach through a
path plunged into the green in 40 minutes.

The Giant: a striking statue hanging on a rock nearly
eroded by the sea.

ITINERARIES:
The
village offers equipped beaches, a clean sea and excellent fish
courses to enjoy in typical restaurants to whom loves a quiet and
relaxing holiday.
Who prefers sports holiday can walk along a great number of paths.
In 5 hours you can go from Monterosso to Riomaggiore and it takes
only 2 hours to reach Levanto.Lots of boats organize daily trips
to Portofino, Portovenere, Lerici and also to the islands of
Gorgona and Capraia and to the Aquarium in Genoa.
